Concerning SCC: prepping has a lot to do with it, but for us most of our drop in SCC came from the bedding in freestalls. Went from dry manure to true composted manure and our SCC dropped from 180 to 80 in a month.

Seems like prep and milking equipment has more to do with mastitis.
