single 6 will also milk 5 sides per hour. 5 X 6 = 30 cows per hour.
Keep it a double 4.
One person should be able to milk in a double 8 solo. Double 12 can be done. I have seen a double 20 run by one person. Milking by yourself means you have to train the cows to enter the parlor on their own. | |
