We have a Schuler verticla mixer and we never run it wide open. By the time we are done putting hay, silage, distillers, and a little corn in the wagon it is pretty mixed up and a few seconds to put our protien pellets and mineral in we are ready to go. If you are buying a new wagon you will never beat a vertical.
