I grind some hay now by hand and no not to push or prod with your hand , thanks for careing. Only thinking of this way for short time if it works would try and find a tmr vert. mixer . Just not wanting to spend alot to get started . There is no one in the area that has a TMR., few cattle people in the area and my friend is selling his at auction tomorrow. Mostly prairie around here and very little crp ground. I just happen to stay in cattle, I like them , have them as long as I can .
I am sixty and no children so am trying to find ways to stay in cattle longer while making it easer on me.
Could you give me an idea of your feed mix, like how much ruffage per head daily in your mix. I suppose the corn and mineral all stays the same. How much do you put out in the bunks, ( pds. per head per day )
