My position is that if your goal as a breeder previous to genomics was looking at breeding using top sires say with 40 to 80 daus on their 1st proof ur risk was as high if not higher. If ur goal is to "possibly" not definetly market genetics then u have to take risk waiting for 200 daus to use a bull doesn't mean ur taking a risk. But it seems u have ur mind made up about it. I've seen guys sit on there hands and not take any risk and I've seen breeders buying cattle for the value of the farm the idea is to be somewhere in the middle. If ur flushing a proven donor the risks are minimal vs purchasing animals at a sale. Think of it that way as more a tool to help measure my risk. Good luck use any raider or warden lately?
