Bonanza, Or | I know that Mike in Idaho from your area has had good luck with it. It will not survive the winter here at 4200 ft elevation. I have tried it twice and it winter killed both times, once in a dry cold winter and once in a wet winter. It does work well here if we plant it before April 1st. Makes a big tonnage and very nice hay but it matures in a hurry so be ready to cut it. I would treat it just like I was planting winter wheat. | |
