A genomic sire is still a young sire as far as I'm concerned. It is plainly visible that you are all for genomics, that's fine. The rest of us actually run dairies and very few of us are willing to go all out with a technology that could be a bust. It appears that most are using a small percentage with hopes of using some outstanding young sires. Those that are using high percentages are guinea pigs in my opinion. They will benefit the most if this thing turns out the way it has been bragged up to be. If the ship sinks many of those operators will have a tough row to hoe. I prefer to not put all my eggs in one basket and set myself up to have a bright future and not sink because I made a few poor decisions.
