Pick your bulls the way you want to and produce offspring you like milking. If you choose to be a constant herd size, you will have animals to sell and someone will always like the same animals as you. For me, that is when it really gets fun. Picked out another group today that will head north in a couple weeks. I may not have the best genetics, but someone likes buying my cows.

Genetics only matter if you get pregnancies out of them and produce live heifer calves, so that is all I concentrate on. Figure picking bulls is just a sideline.
