Don't want to hijack your post but will sate my opinion. High type requires a cow to be tall and angular. A good example would be the Bell-Wood Marshals. Tall angular cows that were 2 years wonders in our herd who didn't care to get pregnant among other problems. Not really the cow we want in our herd. We did an analysis of cows in our herd who made over 200,000 lbs of milk lifetime and most of them were shorter on stature and were out of bull who didn't rank that high on type. We demand good functional udders, good feet and legs, stronger front end, and a good will to live. One thing we noticed is that some of these long lived cows had a great will to live but they didn't make very good pets as they had a lot of -iss and vinegar in them!
