Missouri | Practical cowboy here and really should not answer. Think P-2 requirement is 48-49, P-3 50-54. Cows will loose 100# over winter and need to recover prior to breeding. This is one reason we have open cows in the fall. All starts with watching and limiting mature cow size, easier to talk than to do with the mind set of breeders today. Numbers pulled and run by a nutritionist mainly for a broad stoke paintbrush. One sample before and after on 50 plus ton could have lots of variance. ($15cost per sample) Really wanted to see what value was in the original product. This stuff was common enough it needed labled grinding hay, for with out processing it was not usable. Knew that when we mowed it. Actual value would have been fertilizer removal rate and harvest cost. One of those use of what is available tricks.
