They do for us now.. Our dirt lot hfrs. are on a government designed lots so all the run off goes into a drain field.. This dry cow barn back when we first built it they also could go on a dirt lot but not no more... They layed on the dirt all the time unless rain or snow or cold.. then they go in barn..
