| I would sell buy the ton but it isn't real profitable. I have baled and fed my own milo stalks and would not pay over $45/ton for it. When I swathed it, I strip swathed leaving equal strips between cut area. Swathing was east/west regardless of field length direction. This really helped catch snow and retain some crop material. Do not store the bales end to end as the stock retains a large amount of moisture and they will heat! 24 degrees out and I had steam coming off some bales on a cloudy day. | |
