Subject: This is what a scale service tec told me.

North west MN

Quoted from a scale service tec.

Mark,
Tell the Elevator Mgr. That Split Weighing Is ILLEGAL! and Always Has Been.
If You are Going to Sell Product to that Facility You Need To Haul It In a Smaller Truck
Or They Need a Bigger Scale. Three Things Could Be Happening During Weighing, Your Truck Is So Heavy That The
Scale Weighbridge is Bending Down and Touching the Receiving Pit Loaded but Not Empty, or the Approaches are Not on the Same Plane
as the Scale Platform. You Can Prove This By Split Weighing the Truck, Write The Numbers Down, Drive The Truck Out Of The Driveway and Back In, Split Weigh It Again. You Will Never Get The Same Set Of Numbers Twice. The Reason The Scale Passed State Inspection Is Because His Truck
Weighs Approx. 46,000 Lbs. The Scale Probably Works Fine Up to That Point.
