| Depends on how many you have to do , and what kind of facilities you have to calve in , what kind of weather you will be calving in . If you have 40 head , sync them , catch 50% on first try . Calve in febuary and have a chance zero weather ,snow and ice and only have a 2 pen barn with no heat . AI and syncronising would be a very bad idea .
We run heifer in sepperate smaller pastures from the cows . 1 bull per 20 hd. . They are kept sepperate till after they calve . When they are paired up good they go out with the cow's | |
