Owen, don't know about other states, but in Louisiana all farm land is considered posted, whether a crop is growing on it at the time or not. Therefore, it would be tresspassing to go into someone else's field for any reason. This hasn't always been the law, seems like it changed 10 years or so ago.
The public helping theirselves to your crops....
