We usually build the corners first (Pound in post and install the braces) then strech the wire from corner to corner. Then we use the fene tightener to pull tension on the wire to straighten the fence to give us a straight line. If we are in rolling hills then hilltops will get a post. This wire will only be about 1' off the ground.
