My first thought is to watch the Ca/P ratio. Not as much a problem in ewes but I would try to watch that. Also they are finding more evidence to back up the importance of Vitamins - esp E. in growth of lambs. I do not mix feed myself because I feel there is to much I do not know. I would give the sheep guys at Univ of MN at Pipestone a call. They are super helpful
