Subject: feeding earlage

Wayne County, IN
I have been finishing Holstein steers feeding whole shell corn, silage and a protein and supplement pellet. I like my results but I am thinking about buying 500 lb beef steers and taking them to finish. I know my ration with some tweaking will work just fine but I am also thinking about buying a snapper head and feeding earlage. I have a couple questions. How much earlage will i need to put 700 lbs on a beef? How much earlage can i expect per acre? I have read whole corn yield plus 20% is that right? Do i need to add some hay buffer? Ive read on here people really like earlage so I am willing to give it a try

Thanks in advance
