South-central Nebraska
Jim.

You may be on to something with you Curvetine observation. I have row/trash cleaners, Rebounders and two Curvetine closing wheels. I really like the way they collapse the seed vee on BOTH sides. I ran one standard closing wheel with one Curvetine a few years back and liked the Curvetine side of the trench better. So, after running two conditions seem even better especially in the wetter no-till.

I will be ordering a new planter this spring. I am really liking the CaseIH opening and closing system as well as the meter. But, am also considering a White and maybe another JD because of the ability to run Curvetines on those two planters.

As I have stated before, roots don't seem to be an issue. More of a stalk issue especially on the less healthy racehorse hybrids.
