At best it would only be an indicator. Length, depth of the kernels plus test weight vwould have to be considered for an accurate assessment. Maybe a dry measure, dried and weighed would be more accurate way of estimating yield. Shell and dry any given number of ears represenative of the area,weigh it,divide that figure by the number of ears sampled and multiply that figure by the final population of the area.Then divide that figure by 56. Think I'll just wait and weigh it by the semi load.lol,bob
