Castroville, Texas | Last year here was one of the driest and hotest sumers on record. No dryland cotton was made. On irrigated last year we had 4554 Stoneville, 164 DPL, 444 DPL, & 147 DPL Refuge. The 4554 was the best last year in terms of money per acre, excellent grades and great yeilds. 164 had excellent yields but he grades were not as good. This year is 180 degrees opposite of last year it is so far one of the wetest and coolest years on record. But just like last year are best looking cotton right now is 4554. | |
