Looks really good Von.  We've used the wood fiber rolls as well, but, grassed waterways are designed with a flow velocity well within the limits of the straw matting and the straw matting is a few buck cheaper per roll.  We've got a couple of happy farmers since introducing those peg staples and pounder.  It sure beats bending over all the time!!
