You got me thinking fertilizer already Buckwheat when I need to focus on my corn crop.

Read this, see if it makes sense in your situation:

I know enough about Calcareous soils to be dangerous so take it for what is worth. I deal with acid soils 99% of the time but finding some of the same problems.

Had one client's tissue tests all come back low in Fe and questionable in Zinc and I cannot figure it out.

His plants looked healthy but tissue test tells me there is a problem there and he is not satisfied or he would have never hired me to look.

Zinc works with P, Boron works with Potassium for maximum production from balanced fertility.

Our soils are so heavy in Iron I never had to deal with it except in trees where the roots go beyond the Iron.

Ratios are pretty well known and published and I consider important. Deficiencies are pretty well known and documented and you can take them to the bank.

I would be real curious to see what you find.

You really need tissue tests to verify the soil tests. I assume you are using the right soil test for your soils.
