Subject: How to do Silage Bales

Wanted to try some wet wrap bales of alfalfa using a large square baler. Have never done it before or been around it. How do you tell what the proper time to wrap after cutting is? Have heard some let it dry more and make "sweet feed". Also need to decide single bale wrapping or inline wrapping and find a wrapper. Do not have a guarantee market for it yet. Is it reasonable to move them w/ a bale spear then patch the holes or can a guy use pallet forks or do you just leave them be until it's time to feed? Any and all input or suggestions welcomed.
