SWMO | I am working under the assumption that your switchgrass is a warm season grass. I say that because "here (SWMO)" we would not cut switchgrass this late to allow for regrowth going into fall.
RU would work after first frost. Your cheat grass would be active and switchgrass would be dormant. You could also RU in early spring before switchgrass comes out of dormancy.
I never had much luck with ATZ on grass control.
Diuron is somewhat effective as a pre emerge but would not work very well on germinated stuff. There is a lot of chemicals for grass pre emerge that would not hurt existing stand but RU route would be much cheaper.
Read the label for Maverick and Outrider. Effective on cheat in wheat. I remember something on the label about native/warm season grass.
