Why no scraps?Bacon grease is not bad for a dog,canines digest fat very well.I'd say go all out and feed her whatever she likes and will eat.There's not much price difference between bulk dog food and cheap cuts of meat or ground meat.Every dog I've ever had knew when to fast when they weren't feeling good but I'd say gaining some pounds would help her heal faster.
