We have a Kenmore electric flattop for going on probably 5 years. No problems. It is a manual model with no fancy digital controls, other than the oven shuts off automatically at the end of the timer. As to canning, we don't pressure can, but we do waterbath can a fair amount, and everything seems to work just fine, have probably done 100 pints of stuff this year so far.
Need new stove, what is a good brand or what to look for?
