Hauling the rock and putting it in yourself my be OK but just check what it will cost to get it delivered in a 'Stoneslinger'.
They will just access the excavation from one point and convey throw the rock right where you need it.
I would check the price it might be an economical way to do it.
Remember that reaching the inside centre of the basement floor could be a lot of work.
