Mid Michigan | Our company at work used to pay for it for us. New company bought them out and dropped it. They did however bring in a representative from The Hartford insurance company that offered a "one time deal" for all of us to sign up at our own cost. This one time offer was without any kind of health screening or checkup from the doctor. It costs me $8 dollars a week which I feel is pretty cheap. Covers me until I would either return to work or get switched over to social security disability. I think Afflack also offers it. Probably will have to do a doctor visit first. I don't know if these places would ever pay anything out unless you were 98% dead anyway. The place I work you better be able to drag yourself into work every day until you're 67 or the train will just run you over and keep going! Sick days? Ha! Whats a sick day?!! At our company thats the day before your funeral. | |
