| I guess I'll throw my two cents in. About a year ago I got a Great Pyrenees. It's first job is to be the family pet. The 2nd is to keep coyotes away from the sheep and the building site. I never got the dog w/ the intention of it to run with the sheep. The breeding of these dogs is pretty amazing. My dog has been drawn to the sheep from day one. She is still learning what appropriate play with the sheep is. She pretty much devides her time between the lot and the door step. These dogs are VERY head strong. My dog likes to show all the neighbors' trucks, who the boss is. The shock caller seems to be the only thing she will understand. | |
