Hoisington, KS | I'm talking about 50# 11-52-0 in furrow, so 5.5# N and 26# P. We've been putting this amount on for years with our conventional wheat and most ground we've farmed for a long time has enough P buildup that the soil tests don't call for more than 20-25 lbs and in some cases no P. Some ground we've just taken over call for much higher amounts. Based on soil tests I'm planning on putting around 75 lbs. N. I just didn't know if it's better to have some on before planting or split it 50-50 or 75-25 with the second application coming in Feb.-March. | |
