Some one wisely suggested I post over here with my questions about the above and I apologise for not thinking of that before. I never said I was the sharpest tool in the shed :)

I have another question:  if I go with sheep, I am thinking I wil lneed at least one good herding dog. I have always been one to have at least two big dogs as pets but I have never had a working dog. i don't even know if it would be a good idea. May i have your opinions please? We do have coyotes and a few wolves in St. Lawrence county. The coyotes are more of a pain than the wolves by far.
