| Just talked to the local enduser. They are flush on corn even with the low yields in that area. They are getting around an 80bu yield. Problem, or good thing, is that harvest is flying. No rain or wet ground to slow anyone down. So, basis is -20 today. 30 cent carry to Jan. to get -10.
This will change here to the plus side. Just have to fill the bins and wait out the combines.
Every elevator laughs at the mention of storage cost. They have no programs now. Take it cheap is the current game plan. Nothing wrong with that. I just don't wish to play that game just yet.
Well, that was my plan until you told me people were willing to sell corn for 2.64..... 80 to 90 cents pays a lot of travel expense......
