South Central Kansas, Harper County | I moved this from another group, thinking this would get more response, as it is cattle related.
Does Triticale have as long a root system as regular rye? Looking for something to break up the compaction a bit, but yet have use as a viable winter grazeoff for cattle. I was thinking of a Triticale/Turnip mixture, has anybody tried this? This is fallow ground in a notil situation that is coming out of wheat and will be a row crop next spring. Any comments?
thanks,
