Subject: Don' Sign!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have just been through this. They wanted to put turbines on an 80 of ours. They offered $4000/turbine/year and a 2% annual increase. We think they're annoying to look at and don't want to farm around them. Remember most contracts are perpetual so your great great grand kids could possibly be stuck with the dumb things. Any of your descendants will be stuck with what ever you sign. Florida Power and light was the company that approached us. We caught them in so many lies I wouldn't sign a contract with them even if we wanted a windmill. I would highly recommend calling Dr. Roger McOwen(sp?) at Iowa State University. He is the Ag law expert. When I talked with him he said windmill contracts are some of the most egregious contracts he has seen. If you are even considering this, get the best lawyer possible. However I'd say $2500/yr isn't near enough!
