If memory serves the low level route that went by Texline ended near La Junta, CO. The bomb plots could score one bomb run every 15 minutes. In normal training we would racetrack the at the plot & make a seperate bomb run every 30 minutes.
Every six months or maybe every year the command would locate a bomb plot at a strange location with a site never flown before. These would be for special testing of the bomber crews. At these sites each crew had one look and was scored on one run but multiple and separate releases. In this case the route might be host to 30 or so bombers flying at 15 minute intervals.

My wife got to live at Dyess for 3 years. I was nominally stationed there but spent most of my time flying over Viet Nam.

The AF Training Command has a VFR training route that has a turn point right over my fields. They are flying in a fairly small Jet probably with 2 or 3 student stations. From time to time they will come by in a pair. Training for lead and follow aircraft I presume.
