Central IL | I apparently have to learn the secret to removing the coulter. After hearing so many that run with row cleaners only, I tried removing them this spring. The only thing I accomplished was not being able to get the seed deep enough and breaking a hub on an opener.
Do you guys have any rocks? It seems the wave coulter is able to scoot the rocks out of the way of the opener for me, where without it it the openers ride over them or break from deflection.
This is on a JD7000.
Not that I won't try the same excercise again next year. | |
