Sounds like the description of "full service" vs "price only" dealers may be somewhat subjective. I'm sure many of us consider ourselves better than our competitor in some manner. I'm guessing someone @ the company you mentioned may consider themselves as doing far more than you. Again, subjective.

I'll bet the company you mentioned may also have a disgruntled customer somewhere. I'm betting you may also. Both you & the other company may say the disgruntled customer needs a "rest of the story explanation....", but nonetheless, he's disgruntled. Before they could've switched seed suppliers w/no questions. Now it will different as I understand it?

Offering everything in the world doesn't solve all the problems. You mentioned renting & landlords. Explaining to a landlord why he should pay many $$ more for seed vs his friend or another tenant can be taxing.

I'd say that Monsanto is certainly one of the shrewdest companies we deal with. I'm sure someone there said many years ago, "the heck w/being Mr GoodGuy...let's just go!". It appears to be working. I've read on here that many here are stockowners in M. This is what they want to hear.

I've always had a problem w/someone telling me/us what we'll do in our farming operation unless it involves a landlord or something we want to participate in. I realize most say if you don't like it, just get out. That won't happen either.
