Chebanse, IL.....

Overall, do you like this new situation? Will this benefit the farmer (which is what I'm most interested in) more than allowing him to shop & decide if he needs frills or just seed?

As a farmer I realize I can do everything possible to support any dealer...and then have them close/dissolve/disappear without apologies. Then, I'm back to square 1 again.

Now, on another note. Anyone in the auto sales business knows this fact. A good salesman can be worth 10,000 sales of any kind. Auto dealers often vie for the areas top salesmen. They know hiring "Joe" can mean an automatic 100 cars/yr because Joe has a following & is trusted by his customers. Seed could be the same. You trust an individual & realize he switched companies because of......well-many, many reasons, some economic, some maybe personal, but having nothing to do w/that DSM quantified "general dissatisfaction". But anyway, suppose you want to buy from "Joe" the seed salesman at his new employer.

Now what??

Again, is this best for ag? Is this best for me...a farmer?
