My guess is that you will have a long wait on that one. Those who planted corn big time and made great forward sales certainly will not be making that admission.It is perplexing that farmers are so willing to give the market what it wants when it wants it. One would have to assume that we believe the "market" has the farmers best interest in mind instead of being a neutral tool to set aappropriate prices. Can you imagine what a great longer term market for corn we would have had if we had all been more skeptical of the newest "new price plateau" and stuck to more normal rotations. I'm sure you are right and we and south america will give the market all the bean acres it wants next year. | |
