on your comment "everyone is bashing ethanol with no rebuttal" I personally feel that ethanol is about the best thing to happen to cornbelt American agriculture and communities in a long time. The reason you probably don't see any rebuttal is that everyone has made their points at least on this board and folks have pretty much made up their minds one way or another. If someone for whatever reason prefers cheap corn or petroleum oil, then they are probably anti ethanol. If someone sees benefits from corn selling at profitable prices to the consumer without government programs, local markets and e-85 then they are probably pro ethanol. At this point I don't think more discussion is going to change any of that. That is why you don't see "rebuttals". The economics of ethanol will ultimately decide its fate. jmho. Jim at Dawn |
