I have had varible results with Steadfast, also. If it rains >1/2" within a few days after spraying, it will knock it dead. If it is dry for a week or two -- I have had poor results.
You may have to get out the cultivator to get any kind of results with no rain.
I sprayed some steadfast this year to rescue corn that had Harness failure. I hope it works!
