Sure you can interpret that symbol how you want but don't be surprised if few or no-one shares your interpretation and points out that the symbol carries with it other meanings whether you like it or not.
A prime example of this is the swastika that existed long before the Nazis ever used it, and now will forevermore carry with it multiple and conflicting meanings.
