southern MN | Organic food is a specialty product that proclaims itself better than 'regular' food.
A lot of those claims are baseless, false, and inaccurate.
It's a 'touchy feelie' thing which Hollywood people, some of the biggest fakes around, promote as something 'real'.
I have no problem with those who produce or sell organic products, a nice nitche market. The unfortunate part of it all is those who promote organic, in their zeal to build themselves up, tend to get carried away as to the value of their products. The bad part is some of those people take it farther, and resort to making up crap about 'regular' food that is not true. It's one thing to oversell yourself; it's another thing to falsely tear down your competition.....
From your point of view of selling a commodity in a store, really no difference.
From our point of view of producing raw materials that go into food, it gets very friustrating to hear outright lies from some organic promoters that get expanded and repeated by air-head Hollywood types.
And so, the frustration & distain for organics by 'regular' farmers.
Just tired of the lies.
