Texas
Which definition of sustainable?? The same people pushing organics coupled with the environmentalists?? They get their way and there will be no pesticides, fertilizer other than manure, and minimal fuel use.

dbltfarmer - 4/9/2011 14:13 It is a good thought but there is no way the world can be fed with organic and or sustaniable ag practices. Overall, farming has a major disconnect with the general public.

I hope this statement is false. If it is not false, then the world is doomed to starvation.

If agriculture is not sustainable, then it's unsustainable. Does that sound good for the future to you?

Sustainable agriculture should indeed be a key focus. I couldn't care less about organic vs inorganic (unless one of them is less sustainable), but if anyone were to say that an interest in sustainable agriculture is a bad thing, I would have to seriously question their sanity.
