Oh, and the original term "liberal", the liberal that John Locke first wrote about, is far and away nothing like progressivism. "Liberal" in its original meaning is market liberalism, which evolved into capitalism. So today's "conservatives" are far and away liberals. And there are huge differences between all of the theories you wrote. Socialist/Marxist/liberal/progressive. Have you read Marx? Have you read John Locke? Have you read John Dewey? Have you read Thomas Hobbes? Isaiah Berlin? John Rawls? George Orwell? If you have read each of these, then you would know that there are very distinct differences in the founding theories of each what you described as "all the same". | |
