High Springs, Florida | I have had quite a few dealings with organic produce people. My number one complaint or fault with those people is how MILITANT they are. Like PETA people, some of them are.
I went to several startup meetings for an organic CSA in Ohio. Wow, what a line this guy had. At the end of one meeting I asked this woman who seemed knowledgable about using Roundup around the garden. Oh, you can't use that! It ruins the soil and kills all the wildlife around your garden!
The head of this CSA to be, that never was, was into this weird Bio-something witchcraft thing, where they took manure and filled cow horns with it, then buried them for 9 months. The shape of the cowhorn was supposed to funnel some energy that magically transformed the manure into something special. They were also into grinding rocks into dust and using that for fertilizer as well.
Anyhow, all this was supposed to make great tasting veggies that made you super healthy. | |
