| We had the same problem earlier this spring. They took probably 10 acres out of 200, it was in sandy ground and boy did they go to town. Counted 150 one night on the outside round of a quarter while spraying. Dekalb rep here said to mix turpentine with the seed and let it sit overnight before planting, I think he said 1 tsp/bag. I posted here earlier, and most of the replies suggested either sprinkling enough corn around the outside to keep them happy, or poison the thieving bastards. Corn looks awesome here, (by Oklahoma standards), just starting to tassel. | |
