I did some scouting today to see if I had to replant some beans. It seems the two weeks of cool wet weather pretty much sealed the beans under a crust and only about a third of them made it up. I thought the inch of rain we got last wednesday would soften the ground enough to get them through, but I guess I've got to get 60 acres of bean seed tomorrow. Anyway, the beans that made it though the ground have leaves, only two or three at this stage, that have many holes in them. Is this the soybean leaf beetle? We have never had this before. Maybe we have just been lucky until now.
