Subject: RE: Lasso/Intrro for SB pre-emerge

We used to use a lot of lasso/treflan on beans. Kept the rate lower on the treflan to get away from pinched neck beans and we always felt the lasso was better on the pig weeds. Around here prowl has a bad reputation for splashing up on beans and causing stem problems. Won't help this year, but at one time elanco was talking about putting treflan on early and letting it rain in, might work where you're cooler in the spring and get more moisture.

Lasso is about as safe as you can get on a crop. Down side is the half life is so short. If my memory is correct it's only about 6 weeks. That means in 6 weeks half of what you put on is gone. Remember sencor? Half life on it was 3 weeks, that is why the reps used to preach to get it on at a higher rate 2 or 3 weeks ahead of planting, they sold more material and there was less danger to ding up the beans.
